Reporting to the Director, Global Logistics, the Global Import Export Compliance Manager will be responsible for import and export compliance related processes within the Littelfuse organization to ensure adherence to all government regulations.

Manage global compliance departments and personnel including all compliance driven initiatives.
Develop and manage Corporate compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance to proper valuation, classification, NAFTA, and other government regulations, including ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are implemented for any defective area.
Manage the information, use and functionality of SAP GTS module.
Develop and administrate various compliance programs suggested by governmental agencies.
Identify key opportunities for process improvements. Conduct analysis, develop appropriate projects, and recommend/implement solutions.
Determine Import/Export classifications (HTS, ECCN..) and load into a centralized database.
Submit ruling requests to the government.
Provide advisement on local import/export regulations as it applies to current or proposed Littelfuse business practices.
Advise on Customs regulations and duty/tax incentives.
Manage Customs Brokers.
Audit import and export packets when received from customhouse brokers.
Establish and enforce a document retention program.
Judgment on complicated import/export related issues.
Act as a liaison between Littelfuse and government agencies.
Deal with any import/export issue that may arise.
Develop and conduct audits at Littelfuse locations to identify defects, develop solutions and coordinate improvement implementation.
Develop and provide training the Compliance department, Purchasing, Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Manufacturing and other employees involved in import or export related activities.
Evaluate and implement technology solutions that integrate key import and export compliance processes/requirements into current systems.
Ensure import and export regulations are met.
Maintain and update the corporate compliance manuals.
Advise and alert management regarding risks of non-compliance.
Educate company associates on compliance requirements.
This position carries overall responsibility for training, motivation, employment, evaluation of hourly and staff employees; approves promotions, terminations, salary administration, transfers, and disciplinary action.
Responsibility for departmental budgeting, capital expenditures, equipment and facility maintenance and purchasing.
This position requires extensive communications, verbal and written, with all existing departments within the company to insure expedient preparation of customer orders or resolve interdepartmental issues.
